In 1975, “Bandy The Rodeo Clown” was a number 7 country hit, firmly Moe’s place in country music history. This became a signature song for Moe as well as being one of own favorite songs.
Bandy sang in a simple style that extracted the utmost from his songs of lost love, sadness, and life. Although by no means a Hank Williams sound-alike, his method of putting across his honky-tonk songs showed the distinct influence of Williams.
